Thank You! Spring for Kids Wins $100,000 in the Pepsi Refresh Project
Spring for Kids successfully competed in the $100,000 grant level of the Pepsi Refresh Challenge. To win, we needed to have the most online votes in our grant level. Pepsi announced Spring for Kids as the official recipient for the $100,000 grant in May 2011.
The grant money was used to fund treatment for financially disadvantaged children with cleft and craniofacial differences. Here is a detailed breakdown of how the grant money was used:
- $50,000 to provide prosthetic and rehabilitative treatment, including the insertion of at least 10 dental implants, fixed bridges, removable partial or full dentures.
- $30,000 to provide 15 children with dental restoration
- $20,000 to create interactive educational materials about cleft and craniofacial disorders
